    Default Greetings from Edinburgh Scotland

    Hello from Edinburgh Scotland

My name is Chris and I am 40 years young. My main musical love right now is vinyl having been indoctrinated from an early age by my parents and then later through DJing.

I never fail to be amazed by the wealth of information contained within the groves of a record just waiting for the right components to be able to pull it all out

Current set up is a hotchpotch of DIY tweaked components.
DIY Nelson Pass Aleph J amp
DIY Pass Labs Pearl 2 phono stage
Technics 1200 with ext PSU and Audiomods 6 tonearm and a Shure cart

On the bench / almost done i have a Pete Millet LR Phono stage and also a wee line stage from Wayne Colburn and the people over at diyaudio forum.

I also skateboard and ride my BMX bike at skateparks ..... anyone here ride or skate ?

I look forward to swapping ideas and learning more from this amazing resource you all have built together !!!

    Many thanks to all involved

    Welcome to AoS Chris.

Good to see someone building their own gear; Nelson Pass has been very generous in openly publishing his designs for others to use. What are your speakers, and what are your tastes in music?

    Enjoy the Forum

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Hi welcome, nice to see more diy’ers joining.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”
