Default Leben CS 1000p 100 watts per channel amp

For sale one of these super cute, small footprint, great sounding Japanese amplifiers. These amps are rare on these shores and those that have them tend to hang on to them. Amazing build quality and Japanese reliability. The amp is designed around KT120 tubes and comes with a new complement of them. Bias is a cinch using the built in bias meter. You can also tube roll EL34, KT88, 6CA7 etc with the greatest of ease, but why would you when it sounds so good with KT120s? Output 100watts rms with KT120s.This amp has been mentioned on AOS by Montesquieu and Petrat who used it to drive Tannoy Canterburys very successfully as I did. There's a valve cage of course so it's pet /child friendly but with an amp this good looking why would you?

Speaker impedance variable from 4-16 ohms. Triode or pentode mode from selectable from rear mounted switch. It has a built in attenuator so can be used direct with a source without a preamp-and sounds excellent in this mode too. Transformers are Hashimotos.

I am the second owner and the amp is in totally original condition, unmodified, and comes with original box and manual. Lockdown makes demoing difficult but the future owner of this amp will know what he or she wants, and what Leben quality stands for.

    £4,600.

Incidentally the transformers in this amp are made by Hashimoto. So no hum from the mains transformer, and a remarkable bandwith of 10hz-150khz (-3DB). Enough feedback is used that this amp provides oodles of controlled bass, hence it works so well with 15ins Tannoys.
