    I guess so.

If I ever ran a forum, everyone would be welcome, even people who'd banned me from their forums. Of course some of them would fight like cats and dogs, because they always do, but I'd just let them get on with it. If it got too lairy, though, I'd arrange for the parties involved to have a stand-up fight outside the nearest Wetherspoons. Handbags would of course be provided so they could observe social distancing whilst scrapping.

Handbags with those long shoulder straps? yes I can see how that would work.

With the Wetherspoons by me you'd have to wait for the existing fights to finish before you could host yours though. But I suppose everyone can have a drink whilst they hang about.

That would be my take on things too. Might silence till the end of the week and then back again on a Monday. Some pompous gits though.

Nice idea. In practice though, it wouldn't work, trust me as someone who knows, been there and done that!

Unless of course you just wanted to host a virtual version of a fight in a pub carpark, with no proper hi-fi content or anything else, as there's no way most folk would sift through multiple pages of fighting, to find a morsel of useful info hidden among all the mayhem!

The reality is you'd have about 10 members and it would very quickly become very, very tedious.

I don't see the point, it looks exactly like the other forum.

This one seems pretty quiet since I joined. I think forums generally are dying, the ones I have been on are not half as active as they used to be. Some have closed down.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

The jam is spread too thin I think. Too many forums for the number of people. At least the number who actually post anything. There's always thousands of readers.
