    Default WTD: quad 306

I'd like to try one of these if anyone has one they are not using, ideally one that has been serviced relatively recently and with upgraded speaker posts.

    Thanks
    Phil

Have you heard one Phil? It's a good amplifier, certainly the nicest sounding Quad amp I've used. Works well with a passive pre-amp too.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I've not heard one, but I've only heard positive reports about them. My feeling is if I don't like it it should be easy to shift without too much of a loss. I'm also keen to try a passive pre/power amp combination

Obviously highly rated on here. No one seems to want to sell one!

I bought one serviced a few years back for £175, IMO they have such synergy with Tannoy speakers. Mine drives kitchen bookshelf speakers for toons whilst cooking.
Good luck finding one, they are quite common.

Thanks all. I have managed to find one on PFM, I need to find myself a pre now! The consensus seems to be that passives are the way to go for the 306.
