Default Anyone heard the Eltax Monitor PWR 1959?

I'm struggling to find a review, just news about their release, but they look like "our" sort of speaker.

I've had Eltax Symphonys & a couple of emanations of their av speakers (can't recall the models) & I wouldn't touch these with someone else's bargepole.

The bargain basement ones that Richer Sounds used to sell weren't great although I remember a pair of their bookshelves (Monitor?) got good reviews at the time.

Those look a different kettle of fish to me - 3 way with 15" paper type woofer, horn tweeters. etc

Some photos. I wish they'd change their badge though!

I'm guessing nobody. Shame there doesn't seem to be a single commercial review out, they must be worth a try.

Have you seen this one Lawrence?

They do look intriguing but as I said earlier my experience of the brand hasn't been the best.

I think they look pretty good, especially at the price. Eltax have made some tat but so have a lot of big name companies, wouldn't write them off just based on that.

They look to be quite a bit better than the stuff sold at Richer Sounds. It may be that RS will have some discounted in a few years time.

I've not heard anything from Eltax, ever. But that seems like too much speaker for little money, so there must be compromises somewhere. I do quite like the look of them however, even though it's not a style I'd consider in my living room.

Definitely one to listen to before purchase.
