I'm Richard, from Lille, Northern France
I'm retired for some years, have been working as engineeer in a computing center, mostly on mainframe computers.(near Paris )
My pleasure, is to play tennis, cycling , and listening music, classique rock, free jazz, latino jazz, flamenco.
I'm a diy'er, so , have experienced in speakers construction, and some simple things in electronics.
I have some vintage amplifiers, Mission, Marantz, Golden tubes, Yamaha 2002, and recently bought Monarchy SM 70 at Emporium Hifi (UK)
All my CD'collection are stocked on HDD, attached to a mini computer running Jriver, with client interface on my Android phone
The PC "flows" the music datas thru an USB/spdif (bulk-mode) to my DAC (ess9018 from TwistedPear) with my own output stage (Voltage mode, Jensen +fet Buffer).
I've lost all my vinyl collection from early years (70's) , and my actual vinyl system is basic.(Marantz + Grado, few dozen albums)
I'm here to exchange ideas, about audio electronics, to actualize my knowledge
