If someone can’t hear a difference then fine.. don’t worry about it.
    I can and I’m a happy bunny.
Not least of which that I’ve been very fortunate to drop a super deck straight into my system and I hadn’t realised how good the rest of my system is.
Anyone with a deck that is good enough needs to be made aware how good the PMAT 1010 really is.
So if you do that, it’s worth seeing what a cable can do.
    And it does.
Well , I am not sure what agenda are you talking about , basically I said that I am sceptical about cables being capable of changing sound . If you read Angus reply carefully it seems he does agree that if front end is capable of retrieving all information there is no gain coming from cables .
I will leave it alone now , as I said nice TT .

On the contrary, I said unless you have a front end capable of retrieving all information you will not detect the differences due to cables. But if you do, you will.

Yes, it seems I read your reply the way I expected you to reply , my bad .
I don't want to start cable debate but I'm bit intrigued by what you have said ,
Can you explain how 1 meter of the cable with negligible resistance , inductance and capacitance creates some sort of electrical filter with MC cartridges .

Appreciate your concern but these things can only be heard by the people of the Beltane

My humble vinyl setup has +/-1.5dB @ 20-20kHz and average THD @10kHz around 2.5% clearly not good enough to hear what cables do

    How to measure resolution?
So .. an album I thought I knew really well is The Notting Hillbillies ‘Missing..presumed having a good time’
One of the first I played on this new deck.
Another one of this oh my god moments.
I think it’s Steve Philips taking the lead vocal with Mark Knopfler’s guitar always obvious.
I could hear the room Steve was singing in. Awesome.
Chuck in the Spotfire Tonearm cable in, and I can hear some of the echoes in the room, echoes from Knopflers guitar and a tonne of other detailed clues of the instruments playing.
Not just that, but it all sounds cohesive.
    Can you measure that?
    Nah
