Crap weather for April

It's been a lovely day. Cold wind this morning but that has now become a warmish breeze and there is hardly a cloud in the sky.

I managed to scarify a couple of the lawns and feel pleased with myself, though I ache from head to foot.

Did you see my post on not always going to Morrisons, etc, and to try Aldi or Lid instead (for the greater chance of finding stocked shelves and less queues)? Trust me mate, they sell some bloody good stuff, so you won't miss out on the quality of proper fresh food (not brand-named other bollox), and it's often cheaper, too!

You know how much we're into our food, so we wouldn't shop there if it wasn't worth it

Nowt wrong with chocolate digestives, put them on a saucer and enjoy with a nice cup of tea, in a china cup of course. I imagine that's how they live in Morningside, but you'd know better than me

Lol - a stubborn bugger set in his ways, eh? The older generation tend to be like that. My dad's always used Tesco, so that's where he shops, period. Tried to get him out of the habit, but with little success!

Barbecued meat, done well, has a wonderful flavour all of its own, but if you don't like it, you don't like it. So what's Anita's fav food, then?

Oh I don't know, probably Chinese, but really she likes pretty much everything. But nothing that would be even remotely charred. And I'm too bone idle, I'd rather go to someone else's barbie than have to do one meself. Which has the added bonus of being able to leave when we get bored with it.

So whatever we have tomorrow would be best described as a picnic, or what you posh folk call al fresco

Lol, honestly that is interesting. For me, it's funny how you're far from bone idle when it comes to working, but when it comes to play, it's different. I've always been predisposed to expending more energy enjoying myself... And that goes for spoiling our guests when they visit, or Del when we're on our own.

When all this CV pish is over, your good lady and you will defo have to visit and sample our hospitality!
