I didn't know Clive that well, but having bought one of the items he put up for sale, all I can say was that it was a pleasure to deal with him.
My condolences to his wife and family.

I'm Brook.
I knew Clive and as people have said he was a lovely man. He helped me a lot over the last 4 years or so, with his time, knowledge & generosity, and will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. My thoughts are with Christina & his family.

I'm Jack.
I was invited to join Speedracer on a trip to Clive's place on a couple of occasions and was impressed by his hospitality, knowledge and collection of music and hifi. Somebody mentioned the term 'gentleman' - it sums him up perfectly.
Sad news this...

Only just spotted this, unfortunately.
I had several pleasant dealings and correspondences with him through this forum.
He was always enthusiastic and informative, and I always enjoyed hearing from him.
Seemed like a proper gentleman ... condolences to his family.
