Now that most of us are locked down it might be helpful to plan some exercise. A friend of mine has recommended an exercise bike - as it happens quite an expensive one, but he says it’s very good. I’ll have to wait for that, as it’s getting difficult to order one, and/or arrange deliveries.
By chance I happen to have some fitness bands, suggested by a physiotherapist. I also have a workout bench, which I thought might be useful when it was on offer around a month ago. It’s still in its box, but now maybe it’s time to get things going.
I have been looking for exercises to do using the bands, and also the bench. There are many Youtube videos showing possibly useful exercises. For me I want to improve my legs and balance.
Some of the exercises require a fixed object, - such as a hook in a wall. I’m trying to avoid those - don’t want to pull the wall down do I? However, I do have a shed - which needs straightening - maybe I should attach the bands there. Unfortunately that probably won’t work well because the shed’s not in a convenient location.
Some exercises don’t require attaching to fixtures - other than a workout bench. I’ll try to concentrate on those first. There are some videos for that kind of exercise.
Anyone else trying this kind of thing? Oh - the Insomniacs Club didn’t open this morning - it’s now 6.30 am, but I’ve been reading for hours.
