Hello from Vienna

first of all, I have really enjoyed the discussions on this board a lot over the last weeks. Provided a lot of guidance, and other peoples opinions. So I thought I better contribute .
Let me introduce myself: I am Christian living in Vienna/Austria with 2 small kids (old enough now to restart my hifi-passion). I was infected by the audiophile virus a while ago
when replacing some Wharfedale Diamond speakers with used KEF iQ30s from a friend. This was my personal epiphany and since then quest for the holy grail for "better" sound is on.
I enjoy experimenting to see what's possible, currently starting DIY on tube preamps and buffers, some opamp rolling, etc. I am not looking for truth but enjoy different opinions as there is
always a grain of truth to someone's experience.
My laboratory:
- Thorens TD160 MKV S
- Project Tubebox S2 with Genalex Gold Lions ECC83
- Lesahifi GAUSS Gold 6n6p SRPP Preamp
- Topping D50 DAC
- NAD 116 Preamp with OPA627 opamp upgrades
- NAD 208 amp (currently kapput with a problem in protection mode, a Topping TP60 acting as a backup)
- KEF LS50
