    Default R-Pi 4 PSU requirements

I have a Pi 4 coming over the next couple of days a d see the official PSU is 5v 3a. I already have an ifi Ipower PSU that is rated at 5v 2.5a, would I have any issues using this with its lower rating?

Just make sure you're not connecting any USB-powered peripherals to your Pi (like a DVD drive that isn't self-powered), and you should be fine.

Memory stick will be fine, but you could be pushing it with a Dragonfly Red. It's best to check...

I have found most kit takes about 50% of the rating of the psu supplied with it.

One of these is really useful to see how much your kit is actually taking https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-USB-C...e8db2b67423a78

That's good to know. Do you have any 'hats' attached or is it simply a base Pi-4?

It's a Pi-4 with an Audioquest Dragonfly Red and a USB memory stick attached.

Ha! It's a Chord DAC64 window - Sounds similar to Darth Vader of you play files above 96khz through it
