We have 6C and it's windy. Feels colder though.

Think I'll take the pooch for a mooch .
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Lol... Have you not seen the pics I've been posting on the food thread?

Del and I have been having quite a few meals together in the backyard, enjoying the sun. Plus, even when I'm on my own, I love having my meals outside in the fresh air, posting there from my laptop (wifi is good all around our house), and I can also stream music out into the garden

Plus, I've been busy gardening! You can't do that if it's pissing down, so in that respect the weather matters

Lol - what are yooz like!

When all this is over, and we're hopefully still here and reasonably healthy, you guys need to start LIVING a little... LIFE outside of your own four walls (or town or city) can be a whole load of FUN! Remember that?

Geoff, you should make the most of it mate, considering what you've just been through! When it's safe to do so, get down to Devon (was it?) again, de-stress and breathe in some fresh air

This current crisis aside, too many folks today are stuck in a rut and are merely EXISTING [just muddling through from day to day] rather than *LIVING*, and I find that rather sad.

    But you're only, what, 51?!

You've still [hopefully]l got a big part of your life in front of you mate, so how do you intend on spending that - cooped up alone like an old recluse? Come on!!

I've also done plenty of living so far, but (God willing) I intend on doing a damn sight more before I pop my clogs!

Maybe if you found yourself a girlfriend it would be different?

Different isn't always better. If you already like your life, adding a girlfriend may be like adding custard to a perfectly good steak

Possibly, but only Martin can answer that.

I can definitely say though, that I'd struggle to live myself without any female company. I'm too much of a social animal (only with folks I get on well with, though). Yes, I also like my own space, and get that when Del's at work, but I really look forward to her coming home, so we can spend time together, and I enjoy that much more than the 'me time' beforehand.

As ever, it's a case of each to his or her own... I just think though that if you're my age, or younger, and still in good health, that you've got a lot more to live for than just being cooped up in your house alone, especially when you've retired, bearing in mind that Martin will be in that happy position pretty soon.

It's like a different day now with wall to wall sunshine - no clouds in the sky but a bitter cold North wind.
