Question Shure V15 type III - Stylus suggestions

    Morning all,

I recently grabbed a shure v15 mk III at a very bargain price, and it came with a Tonar Elliptical stylus.

As I am far from being an expert, I would be very curious to hear some of your suggestions on getting a new (NOS?) Stylus for this cartridge.

Anyone had experience with this cart? What would be considered a good arm pairing with this cart?

As usual, many thanks in advance for all your precious comments.

Well i bought a Jico shure styli from Will Thacker a bit back was great. You might be talking 100 notes for a V15/3 tho.

V15 is better in a low to lowish mass arm You saw em a lot in SME 3009.. I cant see you getting a NOS Styli without paying a premium for it..

I have tried several Jico/Tonar styli on different carts. Spherical and elliptical. Shure M 75, Technics EPC 270c, EPC 205ii and EPC 207. They are doing very well imo. I suggest you try the Tonar you have. I will be surpriced if you find it to be bad.

Jico SAS/SS, best stylus I have heard in my V15 type III.
Had the standard Jico and Ed Saunders, SAS/SS just did everything better (still does), but you do pay for it.
