I agree, anecdotal 'evidence' won't necessarily be accurate. A poll is needed for that. Be interesting to see if there are regional variations (it appears from some posts that Wales and Scotland have shaped up less well). Then we can name and shame the bad 'uns and give the good 'uns a pat on the back.

It does occur to me that maybe the appointments are timed a bit tight, as the organisers would rather risk possible queues than have potential slack periods. I still maintain though that our vaccination rates are pretty damn good and at the end of the day that's what we need.

If queues were common issue then it would be all over the media. I don't know a single person who has had to wait any considerable length of time, everyone I know has said they were in and out in a few minutes, and has commented on how efficient it's all been.

I'm sure that's true, but look how far you've had to go to get yours. What if you had been infirm or otherwise unable to make that journey? As far as I'm concerned, if you don't drive and either have to walk miles and/or take umpteen buses to get to vaccination centres, it's not been properly organised.

I don't know what the arrangements are for the infirm but I assume there must be some and that they must work, since if that wasn't the case the media would be full of stories about old grannies who can't get the jab and so on. Especially given how desperate the lefties are these days that they will seize on the slightest thing they can to attack the government with.

think they vary across the nations. many were done by doctors and nurses either in the practice of in home. but like all these 'general' arrangements , they dont fit all, and many scenarios were not thought of initially. then you have the fact that many of the companies that do the appointments like ours were not nhs but private companies. Its not always a good mix.

How many people vaccinated now? 70 million or doses rather suggests that the rollout has been very well organised.

Certainly here, in sunny Weymouth, it has been well organised with volunteers helping the doctors and nurses at two vaccination centres, at the local hospital and at the Pavilion Theatre.

No queues as there are 10-minute slots, with an average of 25 people per slot, and invites are by text message.

Of course reports of people queuing (exaggerated as they always are) for hours is not good, but on balance I think the NHS has done very well.

I've had both Covid-19 jabs. I've also had a pneumonia vaccine as well, which in terms of side affects, was far worse than anything from the Covid vaccine I received (Astra Zeneca), which left me with an upset digestive system. However, as I've had an 'Ivor Lewis' for oesophageal cancer and previously a Hartmanns for a perforated bowel, with a colostomy (reversed at 18 months), this was no surprise for me at all.

I'm surprised that those who enjoy good health would refuse the vaccine as it's an obvious benefit for all.

I consider these little life-saving ''pricks'' as essential for us all to get back to some form of normality.

I have been very impressed with the organisation of vaccinations around here - one thing in particular, which was very heartwarming, were the number of people willing to volunteer and give up their free time to help the process run smoothly.

I am not sure that it will show results for the reduced viral load and transmission rates, from what I have seen this is around 86%
