Shocking. mate, but the harsh reality is that they (the police, including your son-in-law) are just dispensable pawns in a corrupt system. The REAL authorities don't give give a flying fuck about their 'foot soldiers', as long as they carry out orders, far less your or me - and with how things are going, that situation is only set to get worse!

That's why 'people power' is SO vitally important, especially now, and if necessary not being afraid to stand up and FIGHT for your rights/freedoms, protesting in the streets if necessary, and defeating all forms of disgusting fascist dictatorship.

As I've said before, if comes to it, I'll be the ringleader, leading the revolution (as it's long overdue)

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

They did, but Thames Valley Police have reinstated them. I saw a policeman 'on the beat' today wearing the traditional helmet.

Eldest daughter (NHS worker) has signed up for an Imperial College antibody testing project and has found that she has Covid 19 antibodies.

I guess that this means we have all been infected - youngest came home from Uni' December 2019 in a right state, continual "dry" cough/high temperature. We had not heard of Covid 19 at the time (it think that it is supposed to have entered UK in January/February 2020).
Early January, I was really rough, woke up in the night over the course of several days feeling quite panicky and having difficulty breathing. About a week after I felt a bit better I tried to go for a bike ride, but gave up after twenty minutes with chest pains. When I went to the doctor, he couldn't find any sign of chest infection.
Eldest daughter felt very tired/running temperature in March, she went to bed for a couple of days. She had Covid test on returning to work which came back negative.
Wife also had "a bit of a cold" (she's quite tough, Suffolk farming stock ).

My point to all this is that if my suspicions are correct Covid 19 must have been in the UK (Brighton University at least) back in December 2019 at least.
I just wish that all my family could have an antibody test.
