Ah yes, sorry I missed it. Too many posts to follow... Nice one, so in your opinion, it's a bit better than Tesco? Just trying to square what Mike said (reckons it's no better than Tesco), as he also lives in the area, with your opinion from experience, and mine based on what I've read so far.

As I said, I like their supporting of local farms/local produce and the (claimed) high quality of the meat and veg/other fresh produce. Cafes and things wouldn't really interest us, as we're not really cafe goers. What's their wine selection like?

I know what you mean about affording to do a big shop, but if we had a Booths on our doorstep, we'd use it for the stuff that they did better than the other 'main supermarkets' and specialised in, and keep using Lidl or Aldi for our basics.

We don't mind spending money on good food, as for us it's a massive part of what we live for, and we don't smoke, drink heavily or gamble, so can afford to eat well. I reckon around 70% of our disposable income goes on food and drink!

Did you say earlier that you had a Booths in Nantwich or somewhere? I think you'd find a lot to like there. Obviously not good for a big shop, then you didn't want it for that. I wouldn't try to compare it to Tescos, they are too different. Like comparing richer Sounds and Currys. Maybe more like a mini-Waitrose.

I used to do the same for my (now ex-) wife. I was amazed to learn how much ignorance there was amongst my male colleagues about these matters.

Lol... I know. It's just another toiletry item, no biggie, although as with most things, Del's rather fussy about the brand she uses, and I have to get it from the local chemist, because supermarkets don't stock it, and when she's at work she doesn't have time for stuff like that.
