You're right Booths do try to source from local Lancashire producers, their meat and cheese counters are what makes them different, but is that enough?Fair enough, but this is the sort of stuff that interested me, their supporting of small, local quality producers, farms, etc:

For us, yes, as it's not such a common practice in most supermarkets, and that kind of thing (and the quality of the resulting produce) matters to us
Apparently, Booths also have a really nice and extensive deli counter? If so, that would be another bonus!
Anyway, I'll let you know what I think once we've visited the Knutsford branch
As an aside, have you ever visited Tebay Services, just off the M6? Some of the stuff sold in the farm shop is simply immense!!

nearest booths to me is penrithnearest wairose is a bit better at stirling. m&s is falkirk and edinburgh.. one in livingston too but not sure they do food and parking isnt easy for me.. sainsbury is closest good shop with good parking
