“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It would take 25,000 Brazil nuts in order to feel any health effects from the radiation

We take one 10ug tablet every day with our dinner. Vitamin D is generated in the skin by the action of sunlight, so during the winter months (October to April) the natural generation by this means is low. Obviously milk and dairy products contain vitamin D, but not enough to make up for the low production in the skin during the winter months.

And yes, I have noticed some 'panic buying' of vitamin D tablets at our local chemists (by some old girl, who is obviously unaware that she will soon be getting them for free).

Most of the radium in Brazil nuts is not retained in the body to do any harm.

But enough to set offf the radiation leakage detector and alarms at nuclear power stations, if one walks in with a bag of Brazil nuts in your pocket.

Brazil nuts are more of a digestive irritant than anything...

Maybe in the future it'll be like "remember when it was recommended to take vitamin D for decades but then no one did until it was the cure for fake pandemic for a real virus? they were such troglodytes"

if you're Caucasian and living in the northern hemisphere it's always been recommended to take Vit D supplement as you won't get enough from daylight. There's a shitload of studies been done going years back.

Obviously it isn't some magic bullet for Covid. That would be too easy. A bit like in 'War Of The Worlds'. 'They've all caught colds and died'. That was handy.

No no you misunderstand, not a cure for when you're sick, a cure for stupid lockdowns that aren't helping anything (the result of a pandemic; and not recommended by any health authority).
