I agree with every word that the protesters who spoke said!! And now you know one of the reasons why at the last general election I voted for Corbyn, as he has the same views and militant tendencies in that respect as his son... £10k well spent, my man - don't put up with being gagged!!
The strength of feeling shown there will only grow, as the impact of this virus continues to diminish [and here I'm talking about in terms of hospital admissions or deaths, not CASES, because as we all know, case stats can't be relied upon, due to inaccurate and unreliable tests], yet returning to normal [that is the normal we enjoyed before this pandemic] still seems far away.
And the longer that state of affairs remains, whilst the impact of the virus, in terms of what really matters, as I've outlined above, continues to diminish, the more marches and protests we'll see like that, and indeed the bigger and more forceful they'll become....
So let's hear it for PEOPLE POWER, and the continual refusal to bend over and COMPLY, relinquishing our freedoms, when there is currently no REAL justification for it!

4 people living in the same house, 2 test positive, 2 test negative, all were sick. (college students near where I live sorta)
I mean, does ANYONE expect it to just go away? Estimates are 10x the tested number, so 60m in the US, and only 6% of 180k~ are direct covid deaths so 11k out of a MINIMUM of 60,000,000 infections. That's 0.0183% , a very generous 0.0183%, probably inflated significantly. The only significant thing is how fast it spreads.

The 'Spanish Flu' which is the closest possible historical equivalent did just go away, probably because it mutated into something far less virulent. So it's not impossible.
The parallels are quite interesting. In the USA they had the same issues regarding locking down and about making mask-wearing compulsory. And the same issues with starting lockdowns too late and ending lockdowns too early. Then, as now, States and cities all handled it differently.

It's all political jargon here. Even when something is done right it's said to be all wrong. Basically anyone running for election spins it so they are good or their opposition is bad. Everyone tries to use statistics to make someone look bad or good... It's all a giant joke that is really going to hurt a lot of people financially - and maybe overwhelm a few hospitals for a little bit.
