This is like one of those end-of-the-world films but is really happening.

The virus is one thing but the damage it will be doing to the World is significant. In a few weeks, there will be millions of unemployed and numerous small businesses gone. Without some sort of legislation, how are we going to survive 4 months of isolation without going to the shops and what about essential GP and hospital visits ? Will our medication still be available ?

We are already feeling isolated as this was to be a family weekend but our kids and grandkids have decided not to risk contaminating us, so we are on our own.

    It's scarey.

Yup... I don't have to go anywhere, and Del's now self-isolating and working remotely from home, so everything necessary is in place. We're only going out to get essentials, and we've got enough of those to last a while.

The important thing is, folks, stay as safe as possible, take all the necessary precautions, and don't go out unless you absolutely must!

for healthy under 60's its not going to be a serious illness for 99% as i understand it. most will find it similar to a cold. alas they will be highly contagious for a week or so. Almost all deaths have been from the over 60 and unwell groups. if you are both over 60 and unwell, especially lung, heart issues then it will be very dangerous.
Most younger healthy folk will probably be better catching it according to our esteemed pm

ofc it is. Told the other half yesterday they will all be stocked back up tomorrow. It a matter of just getting the stock from a central Warehouse to the shop.

Now the big topic is people cannot afford to be off work, The Gov idea of paying you is cobblers, too much messing about & waiting for money. People will go to work ill or not, They have to & will do.
