Agree 100% As I've said before, my work has me dealing with all nationalities, and always get on with them. Even get free lunches of whatever they're cooking, which while often unfamiliar to me is always very nice. Thing is to take people as you find them.

Unfortunately I don't know what can be done to stop whole areas of our towns and cities becoming ghettos. A friend's parents, who are both in their eighties, live in a large semi walking distance from Preston North End's football ground (my mate and his dad go to all the home games). But he frequently gets people knocking on his door and offering to buy his house. He has no intention of selling, but they won't take no for an answer. Several neighbours have already sold to up and moved away, so bit by bit it will become a new 'ghetto'

Yup, and thats one of the reasons Labour are good at losing elections these days. There seen to be the party thats willingly expanded immigration over the years. Remember Gordon s confrontation with Mrs Duffy
in 2010 Election " Too many Easter Europeans over here " lol. It was said Blair/ Mandy open the floodgates to rub the rights nose in it. Rightly or wrongly ?, but its backfired big style.

Nice one. I've had the same with some of mine. One of my best customers up in Glasgow, who was Indian, used to make me some amazing Pakora! We used to swap recipes, as she loved Italian food, and I loved (proper authentic) curries!!

That's what it's all about: living in harmony and helping each other, no matter race, creed, colour or whatever else...

Not sure I follow your logic... Why would some folk offering to buy a house end up turning an area into a ghetto?

Unless everyone knocking on the door was a scumbag....

Fulwood is one of the better areas of Preston, but one part of it (about half a square mile) has attracted ever more Muslim families, who seem intent on making that area their own. I would have no problem with having Asian neighbours - as you say, diversity is a good thing, but I don't want to be the only white family in the whole street either, this is how our national identity gets lost. Are we even allowed to say national identity without being branded 'racist'?

Badgering long-term residents, many of whom have lived there most of their lives, until they give up and move out, is the exact opposite of integration imo. Perhaps 'ghetto' is the wrong word, I'm meaning an area that is exclusively one particular race.

Nope, you were quite right to say what you think. I agree, as it happens to be true, and it certainly represents the results of my own experience. Unfortunately too many people in this country, including successive governments, are (or have been) too scared to tackle the problem, for fear of being deemed as 'racist', when in reality it is nothing of the sort!

Quite simply, all non-compliant immigrants, Pakistani Muslims or otherwise, when entering this country, should be FORCED to integrate. And if they refuse to comply, then they should be immediately sent back to their own country - and a hard line needs to be taken on this. If that had happened way back in the first place, instead of the politically correct 'liberal do-gooders', too scared of offending anyone, getting their way and allowing such behaviour, then we wouldn't be in the position we're in now.
