The point is he didn't suggest injecting people with disinfectant. To say he did is propagating 'fake news' and lying. The two things that Trump's opponents constantly accuse him of doing. Yes he does lie and he does spread fake news, does that make it okay for his opponents to do the same? Aside from being hypocritical it just drags the whole debate down to the bottom and normalises such behaviour.

    Marco.
I shop there because the “premium” i pay contributes to an immaculately clean and well presented store, great and helpful staff and products that i know they’ll have in stock, i.e fresh galangal, lemongrass, lime leaves and Thai basil to mention a few, and the meat/fish counter is to die for.
I went in a short while ago and couldn’t find an item my mother wanted and the staff member not only walked me to the aisle where it was but picked it up and popped it in my basket. Its the little things that matter, and if i’m paying top dollar then thats the service i want and get from Waitrose. Try doing that in Lidl or Aldi, and certainly not in Morrisons. The best you’d get in there would be grunt and a random waving of arms in the general direction of the product.
Good service matters to me, a lot!
I’ve spent the majority of 30+ years working for Mercedes/Audi and a few others either in car sales, as a service advisor and now as a technician/MOT tester and one thing rings true through those years is that people will buy a premium product because they know the after sales service will be (hopefully) good. It’s why i use John Lewis for most electrical stuff i buy, which just so happens to be next door to my local Waitrose.
Basically i go to one location, i buy some nice shit and if anything goes wrong i know i’ll be looked after, It’s that simple.

As for your “designed to impress the snobbish middle-class trendy types” comments about people who use Waitrose, i can only see normal people doing their shopping the same as i would anywhere else. And as for the “Waitrose bag warm glow” you’re not actually being serious are you? Like really, you think thats a thing?
If carrier bag envy is a thing, then the world truly has gone mad, and if i'm honest so have you for mentioning such a ridiculous thing.

If I had a waitrose near me I may well shop there too as I like good products and good service. I used to travel to Falkirk to m&s.
I'm not a snob tho, and it's not for the name as such but for the quality that Can go with it.
Lidl/Aldi do lots of good stuff but much of it is not what I'm looking for. It's not worth my while going there for the few things I am wanting if I can get them where I'm getting the rest of my stuff.
Not to say I don't go to both but not so often.
Way things are going I may never be in a shop this year
