No I don't think that's the way it will go at all. Just pointing out they could do it if they wanted to/needed to. The law allows it and it's been done before.

If it really was unnecessary detention then your brief would challenge it, it would go to court and the judges would decide if it was a proportional action under the Act, if not then you'd get slung.

Lol... Well, that's why we have forces for the good, fighting to protect our human rights and civil liberties, such as Big Brother Watch (and MANY other organisations like them), to keep the controlling excesses of draconian rulers at bay.

Quite simply, they'd never get away with trying something like that, no matter how 'legally entitled' they thought they were, as civil war would ensue. Introducing laws is one thing, attempting to enforce them is another, and in another league altogether from that is getting the people to accept them!

Yes I've seen that, but as I've just said, it's one thing having laws in place; it's quite another successfully enforcing them!!

However, the question you should be asking yourself is how the government were allowed to introduce such draconian 'laws' in the first place - who voted it in? It should never have been allowed. And the fact that they've been allowed should tell you all you need to know about the shower of shite governing us!

In any case, they could subject me as much as they liked to a medical examination, as I'd very likely be showing no symptoms of any virus to begin with, so there'd be nothing to find or justify them quarantining me for!

What are they going to do then, imprison me under false pretences?
