Interesting thoughts there Marco . My mother in law was at Oswestry for her jab yesterday , my Ma on Thurs at Oswestry too, and my other half did mention about the possibility of them being able to potentially spread covid to someone else by actually being asymptomatic for a short while !!??
Its possible ,as a vaccine is a small dose of the virus irradiated IIRC that produces a reaction in your immune system .
A paramedic mate of mine was talking about ffeeling rough for a day after his second dose ,and his paramedic mates told him thats not unusual !!

Listening to the latest this morning; anyone who as had the virus has imunity for around 5 months, but can still be a carrier, same as anyone who has had the vaccine, now my question is, if this is true, then how long does the vaccine work for, and how long will it last, if its going to be around the same amount of time as your own immune system, does that mean that a vaccine will be needed every six months ?
Surely your own immune should be more affective at protecting you than any vaccine, especialy an unknown version that suposedly promotes your own body to create something that your immune system is then meant to attack, help me out here folks as i feel like i am in the twilite zone lately!!!

similar to flu.. its about 6 months, although there are other factors in flu, as im sure covid will become too, what with variants.

We are no wiser or better off than we were a year ago when the Coronavirus started out here.

All I see, is that the vaccines may only work for about 90% of recipients and immunity wears off. Those vaccinated don't know if it worked as there's no test to find out, so you could be still at risk. Maybe only 75% will agree to be vaccinated anyway, so there'll still be millions potentially spreading disease.

We don't know if the virus will mutate beyond the four or five strains identified so far or if the vaccines will treat new strains effectively or whether further mutations will be more or less deadly.

The jab contains proteins that are a signature of the virus. We currently have no natural immunity because we've never had it before. Immunity can develop but it can take time, several weeks for some, many days for most, a few days for the young. The virus reproduces in the body in that time and is transmitted through aerosols in breath. The longer the immune system takes to ramp up the longer the virus can spread from the infected individual to others.

Second infections are more likely to encounter an immune system that recognises the threat and ramp up antibodies faster. This is the hope, but that is all it is at this point.

The jab aims to potentiate the immune system so that on first infection it behaves more like our body is suffering a re-infection. The nearer that event is in time to the date of the original infection/jab the stronger the antibody response will be (after a two or three week initial time for the immune system to gear up) . Immune response may fade, but like flu we will get adapted to the threat and it will ameliorate. Frankly that's as good as it gets for now.

My understanding is the vaccine contains mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) which causes the body's cells to produce a harmless protein mimicking that on the covid 19 virus and hence triggers an immune response. The 5 month immunity is actually at least 5 months as that is as far back as the study goes.

However, i would like to add; many of us i suspect encountered the original SARS virus that apparently is very closely related to this, surely our immune system should therefore remember, and identify some of the similarities in this strain, therefore will know it needs to be destroyed ?
