Interesting mate, and she'd probably like the shape, but being a 2-seater it'd also fall into the category of 'impractical', as she'd want it to be able to carry stuff too (all her college folders for starters, which are numerous), but also on significant shopping trips, plus she likes the Jeep because it's 'high up'

Not sure that the boot would even be big enough to house the booze bought for one of her 'girly nights in'!

Haha, well, she'd certainly be prettier to look at than me, and with a far more 'interesting wardrobe'! But in reality, she'd be the one doing the cooking and I'd be the one doing the charming lol, otherwise folks would be better eating in Burger King!!

Haha yeah,but maybe not quite the market we'd be going for... It'd would be classic Italian cuisine done authentically, and properly. I'd be in charge of the wine (my speciality), and other drinkies.

Lol, nice, but too aggressive (yes 'butch') looking with the big wide wheels. I'd drive that, in black, but Del would want something daintier. What she *really* wants (but defo ISN'T getting) is an original Fiat 500, in red, which are absolutely tiny wee cars and very cute (perfect for her), as shown below, but sadly totally impractical.



She calls it a 'wee dolly car', lol. And it is SOOOOOO 'Del'..

It took me about two years [and numerous strops] to convince her it was a non-starter though, and that I wasn't been mean for not letting her have it, so she doesn't always gets what she wants - there is a limit, lol

Was everything clear in my previous (lengthier) post, about the gagrage, etc? With no comment/feedback whatsoever, I always wonder if you've read stuff or missed it?

Why can’t she have a Fiat 500?

My mate has one and it’s an absolute hoot to drive, although it is a typically appalling piece of Italian design in some ways (for example, it has THREE separate switches to put the sidelights, headlights and instrument illumination on at night!)

I must admit I prefer his Honda S600 from a driver’s point of view, but the Honda makes the 500 feel big...

As you may have gathered, he likes air-cooled cars and also has a Citroen Ami and a 1953 Beetle. Even more amusingly he can fit all four into his “double” garage!

my son bought himself a fiat 126.... it was a heap of scrap, but i managed to get it going etc and sold it for a profit like a ride on lawnmower without the blade

Lol, because it's too small to hold anything much, unreliable (from the Fix It Again Tomorrow era of Fiats), and left outside of a garage in all weathers, in a UK climate, would rust to the point of ruin in ten minutes!

Cool/cute, yes, practical no. Both of those boxes need to be ticked, hence why a red Jeep is the front runner. A Fiat 500 Abarth was considered, as believe it or not, Del likes sporty cars, and I was seriously tempted, as I'd have loved driving it too, but again you won't get much inside one!

And the Jeep will likely also be used for 'booze cruises' abroad, which it would facilitate rather nicely
