Just a thought, but how many of the people here who are sat at their keyboards slagging off who ever in government are actually doing anything to help in the current situation? (apart from staying home).
And by that i mean volunteering to go shopping for the elderly or whatever would help someone else less fortunate in this crisis.
So, how many of you are?
And if you’re not, why not?

Count me in! Just back from doing some shopping for my dad and standing in a queue for an hour to collect his prescription from the doctor's. Will be cutting my neighbour's grass for him later too, once it cools down [utterly scorchio here], as he's unable to do it himself

Wonder what BJ's been up to today, aside from changing nappies?

Be good if there was people to elect that would actually DO what they are paid to do, not push their ideology at any cost and keep there noses out the Trough?
”On our behalf” is something that needs to be slapped about their heads, I think they have forgot.

The Onus is on them, not the man in the street to protect our Country’s Citizens.

Would it not be possible for the pharmacy to deliver your Dad's medicines to his home?

For my part, and therefore my reasoning behind any criticism i have for the governments handling of this whole afair;I will give an example; i was speaking with a consultant recently, and when asking his opinion on the whole situation, i could tell that he was quite frustrated by the way certain aspects of this pandemic had been handled, and the actions taken in an attempt to slow the spread of the disease.
And at one point in the conversation; and half joking i stated; that the cynic in me would say that it was almost like the powers that be wanted it to get worse, by the actions [or not] that were taken earliar on, and perhaps all the way through, he didnt disagree!
So, its no wonder there are so many folk thinking on similar lines, yes, its a hard job being in charge of a country, no one in their right mind would argue that point, but these people are there to do the best job they can, for the people they have been elected to serve, is that too much to ask ?

Cheers! As for BJ, well, he should frequent the REAL world more often, and if he'd been there at the beginning of this pandemic, and took appropriate action, instead of sunning himself in the Caribbean, then maybe less people in our country would've died from the virus - a sobering thought, and something we shouldn't really be joking about

Possibly, John. However, he normally goes and collects it himself. Even it 87, he's fiercely independent and simply wouldn't think of getting stuff delivered, shopping or whatever. He asked me to collect it, as he was tired after working in the garden all day! And when I delivered it, he was lying on his sun-lounger in the back garden, sipping a glass of wine

Lazy bugger, lol... Seriously though, long me he continue to be like that!

Problem is mate, when they get into power, most don't GIVE A SHIT about the people who put them there, only on looking after No1!
