Yeah...apologies for being negative Grant...It's just that opening the country back up too soon will be another recipe for disaster, cases will rise again, there will inevitably be more deaths, they'll implement another lock down and there will be riots...absolutely crazy.

Just to add to this...If they got everyone vaccinated before the country is opened up again...It would be far far better for everyone and a safer country...I'd be a very happy chap, if they would just see sense and do it this way....I'm at a loss with their logic...or lack of..

think most of the clinically at risk have had theirs now. still a few of us straggling and of course some who didnt want it although not too many. Supposedly a lot in my area tho, which compounds the stupidity as we have a high rate of infection again

Maybe because the economy drastically needs rebuilding and people need to get back to work, plus for their mental health need to be released from their imprisonment and back to living with some sort of normality, and so simply couldn't handle being subject to virtual house arrest for another - what, 3 months, until everyone who wishes to accept a vaccine has done so.
Just a thought!
Remember, it's not just about what suits YOU (or others of the same mindset), or even just all about the virus, as important and serious a consideration as that is. There are many other very important things the government has to consider, especially now that there is a significant level of immunity in the population among those who's been vaccinated, and subsequently infection rates are markedly falling, and will continue to fall, and we move through the age groups.
Personally, I can't wait until the 12th March, when our lockdown in Wales ends, and get a bloody haircut!!
I'd go bloody NUTS with another 3 months of this!! And vast tracts of the population no doubt feel the same.
