Loadsa people there and it took a bit longer than the previous times as we have to wait 15 minutes before leaving with the Pfizer.

Was busy yesterday, so didn't get a chance to update. Yesterday in the UK (with the previous day's figures shown in brackets below) https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/:

Positive tests: 31,348 (35,623).

Deaths: 122 (180).

Hospitalisations: 777 (794).

Hard to tell much on a Sunday, but the figures seem to being going in the right direction. We'll see how things look tomorrow and Tuesday. However, just for reference, here's how things were last Sunday:

Positive tests: 29.612 (30.144).

Deaths: 56 (164).

Hospitalisations: 932 (909).


Aside from the death figures being artificially low last week (due to lack of data updating), you can see that there's not too much change (certainly nothing notably worse this week), *but* hospitalisations are notably down, so that has to be good news.

I'll continue to look back like this on the past week's figures as an on-going exercise, just for reference, as I think it acts as a useful barometer for how things are progressing.

In Wales yesterday (with the previous day's figures shown in brackets below):

New cases: 2727 (2717).

Deaths: 2 (15).


Last week:

New cases: 2717 (2618).

Deaths: 15 (8).

So hardly any change in Wales, although deaths are down, which is good.

Usual Sunday stats...I suspect that the figure for new cases (positive tests) is about right, but again the deaths figure will be artificially low, and hospitalisations haven't been updated yet.

In Wales today (with the previous day's figures shown in brackets below):

New cases: 3,303 (2727).

Deaths: 13 (2).

So, unusually for a Sunday, a small rise in new cases and deaths. I've seen that before though, almost like a catch up in data, so we'll see where we are tomorrow and whether things notably alter from that or not.
