I think it unlikely that the hospitality sector will be asking to check "immunity passports" of their clientele, unless compelled to by law. The millions of folk who won't be having the vaccine are too big a chunk of their business to turn away, especially when their businesses are still on their arse after the lockdown.

Like Martin I feel these passports will become unnecessary. Unless certain countries you may be visiting have their own take on this.

ID cards, mate, not Immunity passports. The latter is something I'd see more used at border controls in airports, etc.

I'm not so sure... Firstly, it's almost certain that ID cards will become a reality, so if that's the case what's to stop pubs, restaurants, etc, asking to see them before allowing you in?

I get your point about them not wanting to refuse custom, but they're already using track & trace apps, asking for ID, in the form of a bank card, etc, logging a contact telephone number and taking your temperature [all of which I've been subjected to recently before entering such places], presumably with the intention of not allowing you entry until you've fulfilled the required checks...

Are you honestly saying that they'd have let me in otherwise, just because they needed the money? I don't think so... Therefore what's to stop them using ID cards in the same way?

Re the vaccine don't forget - I was saying December at the very earliest, my cut off was 31st December since I thought from my study of the form that after that date there was a reasonable possibility of it happening.

There was no way they could have had a vaccine roll out as early as August. You were 3 months too early, I was pretty much on the money
