With vaccines rolling out, there is a risk that society seeks to pick-up from before the pandemic took hold. However, it is obvious the world cannot move forward by returning to the pre-pandemic status quo. If we are to emerge strongly from COVID-19 and tackle greater challenges, such as climate change, then not only do we need to continue the digital evolution, but we need to accelerate it with 5G at the forefront.

Anthony, did you notice, as I did that, the quoted article was written by Ericcson's Chief Executive? Heavily invested in 5G.

Alright as a keynote speech, but not a trustworthy news item.

I don't feel any need for more bandwidth than my 3G gives me on my phone to PC tether.

I was deeply moved by this 10 minute report from the BBC on the current horrors of hospitals trying to cope with Covid:

Still plenty of idiots about though. Cake parties...

Worst day yet for deaths at 1600. New cases falling though, as expected.

“However, it is obvious the world cannot move forward by returning to the pre-pandemic status quo.”

    Why? Not obvious to me.

5G can be used for more nefarious purposes, including tracking everyone 24 hrs a day.

So could 1G and whatever it was before that. If you want to get up to no good you leave your blower with your alibi.

1G up to 4G does not have the bandwidth or capacity to track the worlds population, your assumption about a “blower” is irrelevant as a mobile phone is not a prerequisite to tracking!

So what sort of tracking method were you thinking of then?
