Negative on Covid, I think we have all become so absorbed by Covid that it is easy to forget about other infections.
True, and we have come to assume that the measures to protect against Covid will keep everything else away, which to some degree it has. But we have become so consumed by Covid that any "symptom" must be that. Even while wearing a mask I'm trying not to cough so as to not freak people out. A few times yesterday I found myself repeating my boring "it's a cold not Covid" story to everyone I went near.
Talking to people at work, customers etc. it seems likely that the precautions we are taking now (mask wearing, hand sanitising) will be the new normal, and will continue long after the threat is over.
