I don't think I've seen any evidence of conspiracy theories affecting policy decisions, so it is just down to us - as long as we keep a sane head and dismiss their daftness, we should be ok. Despite the current high case numbers I'm still optimistic about our future.

Was just reading this report from the Texas Department of State Health Services examining data from Jan. 15 to Oct. 1.
"Of the nearly 29,000 covid-linked fatalities in Texas during that period, more than 85 percent were of unvaccinated individuals. Nearly 7 percent of the deaths were among partially vaccinated people, while nearly 8 percent were fully vaccinated."
Not sure there's much more to say than that. Had my booster this afternoon. No idea what's in it. Any more than I have any idea of what's really in the food I will be eating for dinner, or the bottle of wine I've just opened.

Just discovered a 1975 BBC fictional series called 'Survivors', about a deadly pandemic, which was accidentally released by a Chinese scientist and quickly spread across the world via air travel. Only 1 in 5000 have natural immunity from it, the 'survivors'. Somewhat uncanny.
