Admittedly they were inexpensive, so I was content to replace them - but to avoid the inconvenience I bought a decent player which has lasted over 10 years.
If you think Chines made products are good, you should see the shoddy crap they dump on Africa.
Then you should have bought a DVD player built to western manufacturers specs right from the start...how many Chinese DVD players did you buy before you decided to buy a reliable one..you get what you pay for...even the very reliable player you bought will be 50% chinese components and probably more, you can't escape it....My home has British telecom telephones, have a guess where they were made....kettles, toasters, televisions, disc players, amplifiers, speakers, computers, mobile phones, electric ovens, fridge freezers and list goes on and on and on....Chinese components in there somewhere..and I'll say again..all cheap and to the most, very reliable. ....
