Lol - no idea what you mean by the "saintly SNP"... And as I've said before, I only support Scottish independence [as I abhor unjust English Westminster rule and support Scotland's right to be in charge of its own destiny], that's all, nothing else. I'm not a Sturgeon or SNP fanboy.

There'll be no "happy reading" either, as I've got better things to waste my time on than that pish!

Book burning? Sounds like the Nazis. But what was the truth?

And in fact a quick search shows that no books were burnt. What they actually burnt were some copies of The Smith Commission Report (yes, I had to look that up too) as a publicity stunt.

Whilst I couldn't care less whether the Scots go independent or not I don't like the SNP because they are socialists. Even so just goes to show you can't believe everything you read, even if you'd really like to.

Indeed. And also *wanting* to believe as FACT that which you've read best fits your belief system or political bias, using it as 'proof' to support its veracity, and in turn creating a false smug belief of 'correctness', in an attempt to score points against others with different beliefs!

socialist ideals per say are not bad; quite the opposite, but like most things, shouldn't be taken too far. Once you start heading into a "nanny state" then that is not socialist, but more communist imv.
