I live in a village so no big problem with distancing. When I walk the dog the nearest I have been to anyone must be about 20 metres - quite nice when I "meet" another dog walker, we both tend to change direction early on in the encounter and smile and wave. There seems to be a friendlier atmosphere.
Bloody awful experience a couple of days ago in a Supermarket in Ipswich though. I went out to get some fresh vegetables, milk etc (village farm shops have been emptied by people from town driving out here during the early stages of panic buying).
In the supermarket there was a group of six women gossiping/having a laugh at the end of one of the aisles, I stopped to look at the chocolate and a woman (wearing face mask, so she was ok
) was impatient and bumped in to me as she stretched to get what she wanted.
At the checkout queue (clearly marked with distance warnings) the woman in front of me was only a foot or so behind the chap in front - he turned and, very politely, told her to keep her distance and she seemed to be offended that he should be concerned.
Lots of dumb f--ks in town, so glad that I live in a village.
On the way home I was being driven to distraction by the urge to scratch/rub all these strange itches on my face, managed to resist though.
As soon as I got in, clothes on hot wash and a very thorough shower.
I won't be going in to town again for quite some time.
