A lady from Holsworthy in Devon was allowed home from hospital today, she was a nurse in a covid ICU ward and contracted it, she spent nearly 100 days on a ventilator, she is in her 40's and it is unlikely she will ever fully recover or go back to work. She was interviewed and just glad to be alive and home.

So if any of you do not think this is not a serious and very nasty virus, then just go to the beach with everyone else and get your dose and see how it turns out for you!

I saw the report of the lady and was moved by her horrible ordeal.

It's totally reprehensible the way some people are behaving. Years of lack of any discipline perhaps?

Are you actually being serious? I read it like it was a throw away piss take kinda comment, but are you serious?
I did my last shop for John (one of the old boys i've been looking after) yesterday, and although he's just about able to get out and about and drive, he's stuck to the rules as i guess most of us have.
He is literally heartbroken that he's not seen his wife (in a home) for the last 3 months and then we see the utterly selfish c*nts flocking to the beaches in droves.
    Fucking madness.
That said, i'm going to keep in touch with him as his kids don't seem to give a fuck, i mean if they did, i wouldn't be doing his shopping and giving him someone to talk to.

    Nice Grant,
We have two beautiful parks near us that we visit regularly, both have lakes, and are set in their own valley, and in the one,you could easily be fooled into thinking you were anywhere in the world, its absolutely stunning!
Much much better than on an overcrowded beach, with all the selfish idiots!

It might seem callous, but I think they deserve whatever they get, they are putting everybody at risk!
Unbelievable. Frankly, I'd take a three-pronged approach to this:

    (1) Shut the beaches again.

    (2) Illegally parked cars don't get ticketed - they get taken away and crushed.

    (3) If the great unwashed are going to behave like children, then treat them like children and hit them where it will hurt most - postpone the re-opening of pubs.

Mrs. B has been on a call to a colleague in Australia and they have had a resent spike in cases, so have re-established lockdown in certain places. And what has the result been? Yes, that's right, panic-buying again and the shops are out of toilet roll once more.

    I really do despair sometimes...

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
