Thanks for that Jeff, really interesting - I didn't think I'd watch it all the way through, but I did. Never heard of daigou before, so that was educational. I'll watch out for this in the future, and won't feel too bad about taking some form of "direct action" where I see it.

Regarding that bit where all those Chinese folk were stripping the shelves of infant formula 2 packs at a time as per restrictions, leaving them outside then going back in for more - they may get away with that in Australia, but over here someone would have all those unattended packs away no problem.

Just out of interest I checked out what the populations around Great Britain were. Source I used showed England to be just shy of 56m, Scotland 5.5m, Wales 3.1m including Marco but excluding sheep. But the shocker for me was London, standing at 9 and a bit million - that's way more than Scotland and Wales combined.

Indeed, and that's NOT a good stat either, especially now! You have to ask yourself *why* London is so overcrowded and WHO or WHAT has allowed it to become that way...? But that's a whole other conversation...

The fact is, now with this pandemic, there's never been a better time to live as far away as possible from big cities and mass population. There have only been 189 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (our local one) so far, out of a total population of 698,369, with so far only 42 deaths, and that figure has hardly changed in the last week.

What's notable there, aside from anything else, is that the case numbers are very low for a population of that size, even though it's far from being a high population (compared with other areas of the UK, although it's a huge chunk of that of North Wales), which shows that the people of North Wales are staying put, as per the rules, and not wandering around like other idiots, spreading the virus!

Compare that with similarly populated areas of England, let alone London or any other major English city, and it shows not only a very low number of cases and deaths, but so far a successful containment of the virus. That's because out with of Wrexham, in North Wales there are more sheep than people.... [Down Piggurs] Or more seriously, no major cities with high populations, liable to spread the virus. That fact becomes even more obvious when you compare the cases and death rates of CV in South Wales, around Swansea, Newport and Cardiff...

But, when this pandemic is over, that's not an invitation for all you 'big city' boys, down south, to come and live up here!. You can stay put, thanks

That's something else that surprised me, that Edinburgh has a population of less than half a million. Not much for a capital.

...which is why it should be Glasgow that's the capital, not Edinburgh!

That's a big thing up in Scotland: the Edinburgh/Glasgow divide... And man, in general, the people are so different.

used to be linlithgow and its pretty small.. Edinburgh became the home of the monarch and also parliament so then became capitol.

Anita's 18 month-old granddaughter lives in Burnley with her mother, and we get to have her here every other weekend. Anita lives for these stopovers, and not being able to see her is killing her. But that's the way it has to be for the foreseeable future.

The mother has tried to palm her off on us, without success. Be nice for the virus to cull all the thick people who only care about themselves, but unfortunately innocents are also at risk.

Time for the police to get out the big sticks.
