    STAY INSIDE.
It is hard to make such an adjustment for some. But it is the only chance we have at reducing the number of deaths. Here in the U.S. we just hit 11,000 deaths.
The life you save may be your own. Today we are going to get thick cotton fabric, liner fabric, Elastic to make masks as no one working the grocery stores have them.
My wife has worked as a Taylor and has a really good sewing machine so she wants to use her time in lock down in a way that helps those on the front line.
But going into crowded stores freaks me out. These masks are washable and reusable . We can all find a way to help someone in such a tuff time.
This is a time of prayer and thinking of others around you. Love everyone including those not showing good judgment, tell them this virus is a killer and ask them for the safety of their families and themselves to please stay inside. People respond better to a kind word of concern than the middle finger.

Some people really don't get IT , sometimes they are just young and feel invincible, remember those days?
If enough people remind them it is not just for their good but the good of theirs family it makes more sense to them.

One thing I am doing now, is not buying any Chinese goods anymore, It may cost more but I am going out of my to buy everything I can from the U.S. U.K. and India.
If it is made in China,I don't want it. I started buying tools made all over the U.K. instead of supporting china, the most selfish nation on Earth.

GOD PLEASE PROTECT THE PEOPLE AND FAMILY'S OF THE ART OF SOUND FORUMS.

GOD PLEASE SAVE ALL, AND BLESS ALL... AMEN

I've been trying to avoid buying anything that is Made in China for years now. The trouble is the origin of manufacture is not often marked on the outer box, but hidden away somewhere on the item itself, usually in very tiny letters!

I wanted to buy a new paper stapler some time ago - I found it impossible to buy one that was not 'Made in China': all the well-recognised and regarded UK brands now have their products made in China. Be it irons, kettles, most 'white goods' and power tools.

Particularly difficult if buying online, and the country of manufacture is not stated, but I too will make more of an effort. It's probably the only way we can show them. Though according to the video forwarded by Jeff, the Chinese will pursue even the smallest of profits.

My favoured contribution to this cause would be to seek out these people filling their car boots with essential items, then slap them silly and make off with their loot. And my response to any liberals who may accuse me of incitement: I DON'T CARE! that video has really wound me up you may have noticed

Report on bbc London yesterday from Barnet suggested social distancing was still rather patchy along high streets etc. In fact the borough of Barnet indeed was becoming a virus hotspot.
People around my way seem to have got the message, though I did have to dodge a mobile phone zombie yesterday with a neat body swerve ( think Lionel Messi ) to keep my
2 mt distance. How are others finding s/d in there towns ?

Don't know, I'm just not going out at all. Always thought it was over-rated even before this happened.

I live in a village so no big problem with distancing. When I walk the dog the nearest I have been to anyone must be about 20 metres - quite nice when I "meet" another dog walker, we both tend to change direction early on in the encounter and smile and wave. There seems to be a friendlier atmosphere.

Bloody awful experience a couple of days ago in a Supermarket in Ipswich though. I went out to get some fresh vegetables, milk etc (village farm shops have been emptied by people from town driving out here during the early stages of panic buying).
In the supermarket there was a group of six women gossiping/having a laugh at the end of one of the aisles, I stopped to look at the chocolate and a woman (wearing face mask, so she was ok ) was impatient and bumped in to me as she stretched to get what she wanted.

At the checkout queue (clearly marked with distance warnings) the woman in front of me was only a foot or so behind the chap in front - he turned and, very politely, told her to keep her distance and she seemed to be offended that he should be concerned.

Lots of dumb f--ks in town, so glad that I live in a village.

On the way home I was being driven to distraction by the urge to scratch/rub all these strange itches on my face, managed to resist though.
As soon as I got in, clothes on hot wash and a very thorough shower.
I won't be going in to town again for quite some time.

Had a chat earlier with one of my neighbours, she's lived there 6 years never spoken to her before. Also exchanged pleasantries with young couple who live a couple of doors down, they've been there maybe a year or so. Funny how these thing break down interpersonal barriers like that.
