Right now dude, getting what you need from a reliable source, all quickly delivered to your door, is worth paying a few pence extra! Plus, in a wider context, I hate the way that since their inception supermarkets have killed small businesses and destroyed communities.

ofc they did because they are too expensive. Supermarkets buy is Bulk hence can sell cheaper & make more profit to boot, plus people can buy everything under one roof cos they dont wanna fart about, i certainly dont cos shopping, cooking & all that is a drain on my time.. No chance me running out anyway, for one im a bulk buyer so always have loads of stocks & secondly this country has enough food but people seem to think otherwise. Go out early in a morning the day after & you will get some bits if you need them.

But not *everything* is about price and convenience! That sort of thinking is precisely what has killed a lot of small businesses and changed the whole landscape of our country, and allowed supermarkets to profit from our laziness and obsession with price. I care far more about QUALITY, individuality and personal service, than I do about price and convenience - and I always will!

Anyway, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this subject, as we're poles a[art on our views.

Cost and convenience are important to me. Same with anything i do these days tbh. Im sure there is a lot more than you think work this way. Life is too short spending it on something that you are forced to do to live. Like i said the other day, No one has any money, or would rather spend it in other ways. if they can save a couple of quid the last thing on their mind is looking after small shops & the counties landscape..

Im an utter obsessive with money, it is without a doubt the biggest bane of my life. It controls everything i do.

Little local shop had 2.5kg bags of spuds at £1.20 last week. They were £1.99 yesterday!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

That's fine. I'm *totally* different in that respect; I just don't live my life the way you describe

Yep exactly what ive notice. They can fuck off & should be ashamed of themselves. The sooner the Gov put a law into action regarding this the better. Still @ £1.20 they are expensive. You can get 2.5Kg of Wonky spuds for £1 down Morrisons

Out here in the sticks , they are selling 25kg bags of spuds for £8 .
I see somewhere that one seller put his from similar to £14 a bag !! ( Now while this is profiteering ,its no different from amaozon charging 9.95 for a small 50g pot of Vicks Vaporub wnen its £3.30 in Asda !! I dont agree with it either )

The only problem our spud farm has now , ( I was told by the farmer )is folk from all over coming and some wanting 3 bags (never been to him before ) . Good he sells out but not good for the regulars

Mind you ,I was in the Ag Merchants and I had to grab a bag of horse carrots 12 kgs I think - I said to the lovely lady on the till they were for a donkey (she has horses) It did make her smile
I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work
