Supermarkets are not admitting any new home delivery customers. So unless you already have home deliveries, you're stuffed if you can't shop for yourself or have someone to do it for you.

It is an obvious problem, but hopefully it will be fixed in a few days. There are other people who have problems. I'll give an example, without details. Someone in his 90s is currently living alone, because his wife (similar age) is in a rehabilitation centre awaiting release after hip/femur surgery. The shops which used to be nearby - and just about walkable for him - have long gone. One of his grandsons can take him out, or go shopping - but he's a prison officer. In the event that the prison has a CV case perhaps that one line of help to get food will disappear, depending on what he's recommended (or ordered) to do. I think there will be many cases like this - which we should collectively watch out for, in case single people suddently find that their support lines are knocked out from under them.

As noted getting food drops from stores is difficult, because of the way stores are currently restricting access.

No problem at present - but people need to be aware.

Funny how it worked out, my 7 day isolation was over tomorrow, now off for at least another 4 weeks.

Yeah, that's a bit crap, mate. Wish I lived nearer and could help. I was chatting on the phone with my dad today (yes he's still fine - been out in his garden taking advantage of the lovely weather) and I told him that from now on I'll be doing his shopping for him, and that he's to stay in.
