Thanks for the heads up on that as had no idea there was a jazz section... Now contributed with a pointer to Henry's work on the cheap.

Good to see the EMT 930 mounted properly - some use it simply resting on the sub frame,

Is the paint colour of the Pye amps original? Which headamp/phonostage or SUT do you use with the Ortofon?

Ooh - I'd love to hear the EMT. Fantastic industrial design. When the Lottery win comes up I'll be getting one. It looks like it's in the right environment with the exposed brickwork SPU and Tannoy as well! Excellent. Black Jazz label rules

The original colour is a mystery and even a PYE collector I met at Roy Gandy vintage bash organised by Terry Bateman many moons ago had never seen a 12 to help... This pair most likely has been cosmetically restored in its lifetime and the book Audio! Audio! is a no go also... Either way I like it in preference to the olde English white/grey.

At the moment I am using the Hashimoto into the BPS (set to MM and bypassing the Nagra transformers). I do switch as the Nagra house tranny's are exceptional though the BPS can be fussy with the more 'higher output' low output moving coils.

They should be good. I reckon they'll be a Robin Marshall design, he did all the MA speakers of that time eg R852 and R952.

Well impressed I remain and these are in lovely time warp condition....

The top end air and speed is exceptional on jazz cymbals as demonstrated with Jeff Parker's New Breed Album and for me better pound for pound than LS3/5A's....

Found my 'Monitor' keepers for sure.... Recommended.
