    Default Wharfedale Diamond 9.1

Are these any good? What is their sound character like? Are they forgiving with equipment matching?

I had a quick listen a while ago up against some Dali zensor 1's, they seemed a bit shut in to me ,the zensor seemed a lot better, it was only a quick listen thought. The 10.1's I thought were great, a big bold sound, vinyl wrap on mine looked nice from the sofa, up close it was a bit pants,I still liked them though,

Diamond 220 - absolutely stunning speaker for the money. I’m using them in my main system now, were only supposed to be a stopgap but I fell in love with them.

I've read many positive reviews on those 220's. Must admit, I do like the looks of the Wharfedale D320.

My favourite was always the Mk IV. But not heard any of them past the '7'. The 'Active Diamonds' were surprisingly good too.

I didn't like the sound of the 9.1s at all Shane. You are better off keeping the Dalis.

I have a pair of those too - very good. Still have a pair of 7.2 I got from Roy S of this parish, where my mainstay in dining room system for many years and fabulous too - especially for the whole £10 I paid!

The 9.1s are a good speaker for the money back in the day and won some awards, I had mine for around 8yrs. I replaced mine with Dali Zensor 3s which were a big diference.

Wow you still got those Alex? I remember the days you used to be able to go out with a twenty pound note get blind drunk, have a kebab, buy a pair of speakers on the way home & still have change left.
