Although I've had some disapproving comments after swapping out my tannoys kensingtons for my old ANe's (and having to refoam them) I am so far very happy I did. They may not win awards style wise but the older versions (not this new plywood approach) win on musicality.
No, the treble is not as refined, but the midrange is much sweeter than the tannoys.
Considering I paid 2k for my second hand ANe's these are a bloody bargain.
