    Nick,
    Turned out it was a switch in the central heating boiler. Boiler packed up, heating engineer replaced the switch no more issues.

    That's great news, I've had endless problems with my boiler, HW and central heating since moving in, there's all sorts of noises in the pipes still and the hot water tank makes the most inane clicking noise...So I suspect this is a somewhat similar issues tbh.

    Not exactly using the 4k player that much at the moment and I'll be moving out again early next year hopefully so I'm not gonna bother throwing any money at the problem but it's good to know that you have to watch for stuff like this, anything can seem to affect sound.
