It looks like OP don't post here anymore , tbh I won't miss his relentless pictures of VPI , only person I regret leaving is Jez - bit too harsh sometimes but brought balance to some bullshit posting .

Yep, quite agree I miss Jerry too
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

...well that's one way of looking at it!

Another would be that he was an insensitive, arrogant prick who bulldozed over subjective-based audio discussions that he considered as "bullshit', simply because the subject didn't suit his agenda

He didn't leave; he was (rightfully) banned.

Plus, the OP (Jimbo) is still around. I was talking to him the other day. He posts elsewhere now but still looks in here. Can't say I noticed any "relentless pictures of VPI". He was (still may be when he wishes) a good contributor and someone I consider as a friend.

I agree that sometimes he was bit too much but on the other hand his "arrogant" replies put stop to some pseudo technical crap on this forum , well life goes on and seems like more new members are joining which is good .

Indeed (on the latter), although we may have to disagree on what constitutes as "pseudo technical crap", but we'll leave that for another day!

The bottom line is that you should always RESPECT someone else's contrary views, and their right to hold them, even if you consider them as "crap" - and that's something that Jez was patently unable to do, and which is ultimately what led to his downfall, not just on here either.

The fact is, telling people that they are 'imagining' something or that what they've discovered is bullshit [because it doesn't fit with your scientific belief system] is only liable to end one way, and it certainly won't win you any friends, especially when most forums are 90% populated by subjectivists.
