Compared with some other forum sites this is still pretty vibrant - just look at the postings stream. There may be “isssues” with some posts, and maybe the site has drifted away from hi-if and music a bit, but does it really matter if people are using it and to some extent enjoying it?

It was worse than that, they could really only see my saggy arse at the angle I descended, but the midwives were very grateful for the afternoon off that got them as the sprogs verily popped out screaming for cover!

I've rarely seen any political threads in the Abstract chat room on this site. Over on PFM its a bit different, I've been banned there about 5 times, I go back under an alias, but they find me out sooner or later, the thing is I don't hold extreme views, they're just such a bunch of virtue signalling lilly livered liberals over there that what most of us consider acceptable they consider outrageous, I think they all purchase industrial size quantities of smelling salts every month from Amazon. Meanwhile most views should be tolerated, its how they're worded, direct (or indirect) insults or put downs are for the anti social or weak minded, and they should not be tolerated.

Been up on and off since 10pm. Sue has been well all week, saw medic on Wednesday and given antibiotics, but got worse. Had temp of 101.6f and raise no and he. We called 111 at 8pm told call back in 2 hours, called them at 1am as no call, case still open, GP called at 1:45 and said would arrange to be seen at Exeter hospital by Dr. They called back saying would be hours as 4 on front, did we want to go to A&E instead.

So here we are, Sue’s been to triage, and another 1-2hour wait.

Hey ho so much for not going to A&E, only 3 people waiting, but still 2 hours to see a Dr. the NHS is in a mess.

Hopefully Sue will get sorted and be ok, I need my own personal nurse back.

Yes Grant, senior moment in middle of the night. At least it cheers up this thread

Sue is home with better antibiotics, and is doing as she is told, or I have threatened her with more hifi
