Are they a EL34' Swap? I think they remade these a bit back..

Genuine GEC KT77 will cost a bit, that is, if you can find some good used ones.

The new JJ KT77's are pretty good, and not too pricey. Run fine in my STA25 III.

Yes, KT77 were GEC's answer to the Mullard EL34.

Thinking in the direction of reissued Genalex Gold Lion KT77s...
    but open to suggestions.

I have to say with the small amount rolling tubes on the Radford STA 25 mk3, the circuit seems quite immune to rolling tubes.

The only time I did hear quite a difference was with KT77s, these were a little 'full on' for my taste but I really didn't give them long enough
so that's a wee bit unfair, hence the desire to try again..

Hi Brian, thats mighty generous of you sir and really appreciate the great offer to drop them off!!

But i thinks I would actually like to purchase a set other than loaners, (I loaned some tubes before and it ended in tears ) but if you do consider selling them at some point
(no rush!) I'd certainly take them off your hands.

BTW when Edward and I get together on our mini Finchley / Barnet / Hampstead Bake off thingy, it would be great to have you on board!

No worries. Just pm me anytime if you change yer mind. My KT 77s replaced a set of Edicron 5881 s in my Audio Innovation 500. Difficult to compare any improvement though as in-between David ( ad audio ) had upgraded the amp anyway.
Anyway always been happy with them. Thanks for offer on Bakey, sounds good.
