Default Wanted: Heavy counterweight for SME 3012

I've just put an SPU #1S on a friend's 3012 S2 and can't balance it. Does anyone have a heavy counterweight that would suit this arm? If not, any idea where I could source one? If I recall correctly someone was making counterweights to order. Many thanks in advance.

I have a heavy counterweight for a 3009 Imp that I bought from SME to balance a Decca. I seem to recall it was quite expensive. Not sure if it's what you are looking for.

Wont fit, the S2 'Improved' arm counterbalance weight has an integral threaded stud

You can use an extra rider weight, they come up 2nd hand regularly.

Steve foster, magna audio on this forum, will make one to suit surayne. His workmanship is top notch ☺

I'm surprised you are having problems balancing out an Ortofon SPU in an SME 3012/II arm.

That combination was popular in the mid to late '60s, and I can't imagine the latest SPUs are heavier. I can use the Ortofon SPU GME II in either my 3012/II or M12-R arms without difficulty.
