Freezer seems fine, neither door was opened. Everything felt cold enough in the fridge, but not sure I will risk the fish and meat...

Going home from Preston yesterday. we went via Walton le dale to see what the River Ribble was like. Gone over the banks there, leaving about one square mile of valley floor under water. Never seen it that bad, and that part of the trip took us an extra hour as the road was partly flooded. Must have got even worse as that route closed last night. Getting into Preston this morning will be chaos, that was a major route

Still waiting here for snow, sadly...

Alex, glad you're back on-grid! That was a bit of a nightmare... Not suffered a power cut since I lived with my parents during the 70s!

Surprised you went out at all yesterday, as the weather was truly horrendous. Was it necessary for you to have travelled, mate? We decided to heed the 'stay at home' warnings. I can only imagine the travel chaos today, as a result of yesterday's weather!

The storm where I am was not as bad as I was expecting. Dodged a bullet I think.

Beautiful sunny day but windy. Not a gale, though.
